Counselling and Psychotherapy in Ealing Broadway, West London W5 2NR

Most of us experience times in our lives when we feel unsettled, anxious, depressed, a loss of direction or simply sad. Sometimes circumstances are such that we do not know where to turn or what to do.
Psychotherapy and counselling offer a safe, confidential, non judgemental space where you can allow yourself the time and opportunity to discuss and examine your concerns with an experienced professional. A psychotherapist or counsellor will not tell you what you should do or give you solutions for you to take away, rather they will work with you so that you can see things for a different perspective, help you to develop your understanding of yourself, highlight aspects of your way of being that you may not have been aware of and provide steady and impartial support in difficult times.

People have many different reasons for seeking support. Some may have recently experienced a painful relationship breakup, or a bereavement or problem at work and wish to talk through immediate concerns, others may have more ongoing concerns and worries and some may wish to make fundamental and long lasting changes to their lives and the way they feel about themselves. But there is no problem or issue that is too big or too small.

As psychotherapist I cannot tell you what to do to make things better but, I can work alongside you to help you gain the understanding, insight and courage you may need in order to make the changes you wish for in your life and through this help you to feel more in control and more confident.
It may be that ways of being that have once been of benefit, are no longer helpful, sometimes it helps to be able to see our behaviour and ways of looking at the world with fresh eyes, therapy can help you to do this and help you identify patterns of behaviour that can be adapted and changed to enable you to feel more positive and fulfilled.

    About Psychotherapy and Counselling. tranquil

  • If psychotherapy and counselling are to be effective then you, as a client need to feel safe, respected, listened to and understood. Psychotherapy is not about giving people solutions and telling them what to do, it is about working together in order to identify the underlying processes and issues that need to be examined and addressed for change to take place . It can take commitment and courage and it may not always be easy but ultimately can make a really positive difference, leading to greater self acceptance, a greater sense of well-being and a more rewarding way of living.

    The time will come
    when, with elation,
    you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,
    and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

    the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
    Sit. Feast on your life."
